Job purpose:
The Reservation Asst Manager/ Manager must display effective listening and communication skills, initiative, exercise good judgment and discretion, effective problem solving skills, and display creativity and ingenuity while providing maximum exposure for our hotel and its offerings.
To direct, supervise and provide leadership for the reservation team, in conjunction with revenue management efforts to achieve the highest levels of member/guest satisfaction, quality service and compliance with Grande Centre Point policies and procedures while meeting/ exceeding financial goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the process and handling of all reservations, including managing Reservation Agents.
- Interview, train and manage reservation agents for the efficient operation of the department. Monitor performance and give feedback according to established standards.
- Be knowledgeable about the uses and functions of, GDS and PMS to ensure all systems are being maintained properly.
-Oversee group block management in the PMS system, working with other parties as needed.
-Audit reservations entered and verify accuracy of reservations. Ensure VIPs, room assignments and special requests are handled.
-Prepare and distribute weekly operational forecasts and keep all department heads well informed of any unexpected changes in levels of business.
