Meeting & Event Manager ? Job Description
Location: Resorts / Villages of Club Med
Department: Meetings & Events / MICE
Reports to: Resort General Manager / Commercial Director
Position Summary
The Meeting & Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing corporate events, incentive groups, conferences, seminars, weddings, and special events within the resort. The role ensures a seamless guest experience while maximizing event revenue and maintaining Club Med service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
Manage all aspects of meetings, conferences, incentive groups, weddings, and special events.
Act as the primary contact for clients from initial inquiry through event completion.
Conduct site inspections and client meetings.
Prepare event schedules, function sheets, and operational briefings.
Coordinate room setup, audiovisual requirements, catering, transportation, and entertainment.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and event organizers.
Understand client objectives and propose suitable event solutions.
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Operational Management
Work closely with Food & Beverage, Accommodation, Sports, Entertainment, and Technical teams.
Ensure event execution follows Club Med quality and safety standards.
Monitor event timelines and operational readiness.
Supervise event staff and external vendors during events.
Budget & Revenue Management
Prepare quotations and event proposals.
Monitor event budgets and profitability.
Identify upselling opportunities for additional services and activities.
Support revenue targets for MICE and group business.
Team Leadership
Train and guide event coordinators and operational teams.
Conduct event briefings and post-event evaluations.
Promote teamwork and service excellence across departments.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field.
3?5 years of experience in event management, hospitality, MICE, or resort operations.
Experience in international resorts, hotels, or cruise operations is an advantage.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management systems.
Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
