This position is directly responsible to the Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef for the general operation and for the quality preparation of food to the highest culinary standards set by company including training, supervision and development of staff.
Job Description
- Ensure all food preparation and presentation is in accordance with the highest culinary standard established by the Company and with airline- s specifications.
- Closely cooperate with the Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef and other section Heads involved to create the best possible
- Advise and propose to the Executive Sous Chef / Executive Chef new ideas with a view to an economical utilization of food and make suggestions on new products.
- Assure date marking is practiced at all times.
- Control and direct staff to achieve maximum
- Ensure the approved methods of food-handling are being followed by all staff.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and that replacement programs are
- Ensure the maximum cleanliness of the whole production and food storage area are maintained.
- Make temperature checks and weight checks all the times.
- Ensure all staff cooks according to recipe.
- Control overtime in Kitchen area.
- Check and follow up on HACCP forms / requirements.
- Perform and carry out other related duties or special tasks as assigned
