SUMMARY: • To perform routine duties in the cleaning, service and maintenance of all guest rooms and corridors. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Cleans and maintains all guest rooms, kitchens, balconies, staircases and guest corridors as per set standards. • Responsible for removal and replenishment of all bedroom and bathroom linen and amenities as per set standards. • Maintaining records of room status giving details of vacant, occupied rooms, number of occupants, rooms blocked and sleepers. This information is sent to the Front Office at specified intervals highlighting scanty baggage, sleep outs, packed luggage information. • Responsible for maintaining all plants and flower arrangements in their assigned area. • Responsible for maintaining all operating equipment in the guest rooms and in the storage area as per the safety standard. • Ensures that all inventory items are maintained at the set levels in their allocated areas. • Responsible for the safety of guests and their belongings maintaining guest satisfaction index at the set standard. • Responsible for the keys assigned during the shift, lost and found items. • Responsible for guest laundry to be brought to the department. • Ensures that all room defects, any lost & broken and damaged items are brought to the notice of the concerned Officer. • Ensures that they are properly attired in their full uniform with the name tags and correct footwear and are properly groomed. Perform multi- skilled tasks and added responsibilities as and when assigned by the housekeeping Officer. QUALIFICATION: 1. Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management is required. 2. Additional work experience may substitute for degree. EXPERIENCE: 1. Minimum of 1 - 2years of work experience in Housekeeping related operations in similar position in a 5 stars Serviced Apartment/Hotel. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY 1. Basic knowledge of Housekeeping is mandatory. 2. Knowledge of Hygiene and safety standard as per industry is a must. 3. Should have skills to handle guest interaction. 4. Should be able to motivate and drive his team. 5. Resourceful and able to work independently. 6. Should not be time bound.
